On Wednesday the 18^th of September, Monaghan Coaching and Games staff held a First Year 9 a-side Super Touch Football Blitz. Eight schools were represented on the day, St Macartans Monaghan, Our Ladys Castleblaney, Ballybay Community College, Beech Hill College, Colaiste Oiriall, Patrician High School, Inver College and Castleblaney College. Overall 15 teams took part with 224 students playing. Each team consisted of 9 players with most teams having 2 or 3 subs. Each team played 3 games of 9 minutes a half, totalling 18 minutes per game. All teams had a very enjoyable day’s football.

Next Wednesday night, the 25^th of September, a Senior Seven a-side Super Touch Blitz will be held for secondary schools under the lights in Cloghan. Secondary school blitzes will take place throughout each term for the coming school year. Monaghan Coaching & Games staff will be in touch regarding dates and times.
