Monaghan won their fourth consecutive Ulster Ladies Senior Football Championship title with a 4-16 to 1-10 win over Tyrone in Sunday’s final at Celtic Park in Derry. Goals by Caoimhe Mohan and captain Therese McNally had Monaghan ahead by 2-6 to 0-5 at half-time and Gregory McGonigle’s side pulled away with an unanswered 1-7 after the restart; the major coming from a penalty by goalkeeper Linda Martin. Gemma Begley found the net for Tyrone, but a Cora Courtney major secured a comfortable victory for Monaghan, who will now turn their attentions to the All-Ireland series.
