Good Luck
We wish our three players Adam, Andrew and Shane and  the Minor County team the best of luck on Sunday in the Ulster final and they strive to bring back the Liam Murray Cup to the Farney County. .
Juniors
Killanny 1g 16p
Toome 1g 5p
An eleven point win over Toome on Saturday last will mean nothing for the upcoming championship game against the same opposition in a few weeks time if we cannot raise our game again . Last week we saw Toome get off to a better start with 1g 1p on the board before we got 2 point. The visitors replied with a point and Peter Dooley added a point from a free. Then came an excellent score when Peter Dooley flicked a high ball on to the inrushing Adam Kieran who slotted home. Then Peter split the posts from a sideline ball and brought the half time score to 1g 4p to 1g 2p. Toome were first to register with a point but we got back on track fairly fast and added 2 points. Dayrl Traynor made his own point when he split the Toome defence with a great run. We traded 2 points with Toome. A solid defence anchored by Ronan Duffy and ably assisted by Tommy Kieran and Stephen McMahon shut up shop and kept Toome scorless for the remainder of the game. We added 7 more points and ran out comfortable winners. A repeat performance and more is needed if we are to advance in the championship.
The Cúl Camp takes place July 22nd to the 26th, don’t forget you can register on line or on the morning in the field.

Our U10’s were in Cloghan for an all county blitz  on Saturday morning and gave a very good account of themselves. Well done to all concerned.

Under 14
On Saturday past Killanny U14’s  played Monaghan Harps in a very entertaining match  played in tropic like conditions at Pairc Eanna. Despite suffering two losses to the same opposition earlier in the year and missing a number of regulars the Killanny boys were determined this would be their day. Daniel Leegan playing in goals also acted as a sweeper and made many important interceptions. In the full back line the tenacious Ronan Grimes and Sean Finn ensured it was a difficult day for the Harps forwards. The half backs of Kian Duffy, Conor Grimes and Ciaran Guinan were dererimined in the tackle and distributed the ball well. At midfield Dean Connolly and Eddie Walsh got through a mountain of work and used all their experience to keep a young Killanny team moving forward. In the half forward line Darren Leegan, Ciaran McConnon and Kyle Connolly made themselves available constantly for the ball and ran themselves into the ground. The full forward line of Ciaran O’ Reilly and Conor Callaghan were more then a handful for the Harps defence and made excellent use of possession. David Leegan and Aodhan McConnon both made telling contributions when introduced. Well done.
