County champions Ballybay continue to set the pace in the Drumlin Group of Credit Unions Senior Football League after goals by Hugh Malone and Christopher McGuinness led them to a five-point win over Castleblayney on Sunday. That saw them join Scotstown at the top of the table after the Blues had won in Latton on Saturday. Magheracloone and Monaghan Harps each have three points after they beat newly-promoted teams Doohamlet and Rockcorry; the latter of whom were playing their first ever game in the senior ranks. The other game on Saturday saw Clontibret ease past Carrickmacross to get off the mark.

Monaghan Electrical

Last year’s relegated teams from senior, Truagh and Currin, lead the way in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League after two rounds. Truagh had a double-scores win against Cremartin, while Currin put Drumhowan to the sword. Five teams are locked on two points, including Inniskeen, who beat neighbours Donaghmoyne on Sunday. Sunday’s other game saw Corduff edge out Clones, while Tyholland pulled away in the second half at home to Aughnamullen on Saturday.

Eurotech

Oram beat junior newcomers Scotstown on Sunday to go top of the Eurotech Junior Football League, while Aghabog pipped Toome and Blackhill and Seán McDermotts played out a low-scoring draw. Saturday’s games saw Éire Óg and Killeevan take full points from Killanny and Emyvale respectively.

Truagh produced a late comeback to edge out neighbours Scotstown in the McElvaney Recycling Under-21 Football League Division One on Friday, while Blackhill proved too strong for Seán McDermotts in Division Three.

Silver Hill Foods

Monaghan Harps and Inniskeen share top spot in the Silver Hill Foods Development Hurling League after they eased past Carrickmacross and Clontibret on Thursday. Defending champions Castleblayney fell to their second defeat against Truagh.
