Dinner Dance, the most eagerly anticipated night of the year is happening this Saturday night, a not to be missed event and amazingly tickets are still available from committee members and in Supervalu.  The player award ceremony also takes place on Saturday night, the player of the year prizes are sponsored by; The Creighton Hotel, Dutchy’s Fitness, Eugene McCaughey Spar, SuperValu, The Tower Bar, The Paragon, Conlon Travel and Adamsons.  Nearly all of the players of the year have been decided by their respective management teams.  These awards go to the players who have shown dedication, ability, tenacity and will to win beyond the norm, they are; Under 12; Conor Smyth,Under 14 A; Caoilin McDonald, Under 14 B; Ryan Mc Govern, Under 16; Ben Daly, Minor; Aidan O’Neill, Under 21; Ethan Audley, Reserves; Eugene Holland and the Senior award goes to ?????? you’ll have to be there to find out.  So get the curlers out, the fake tan and glad rags on and we’ll see you there.

Dan’s Tournament; Takes place this Sunday, the first game will take place at 2pm between Aghabog and Clones. The second game will take place at 3pm between Currin and Killeevan. The Final will take place at 4pm.  Support if you can.

Well done to Orla and Ella on their first outing with the County in Cavan last Saturday evening.  They equipped themselves very well, best of luck with the rest of the season girls. 

Coaches; Those who have attained their foundation level -it is now time to upgrade to level one.  Workshops are continuing every Wednesday night in Cloghan, these workshops are free and massively beneficial to yourself, your respective teams and the club.  Don’t miss out on this opportunity, for more details contact our Coaching officer Phelim. 

Strength and conditioning for under 16’s continues every Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock.  If you haven’t been attending ‘tighten up’ as you’re gonna be left behind by your peers.

Scor All Ireland Final is taking place in Derry on the 23rd we are represented by Colm Kirke and his recitation piece “The Cross Eyed Monaghan Hurler”.  It’s not every year that our club is represented in an All Ireland final indeed it’s been 33 years since we last contested a final.  We’ll be running a bus and your support would be greatly appreciated.

Juveniles; your Training schedule is set to commence in the couple of weeks, as always help is needed in coaching and managing our juveniles, this is appreciated and needed, volunteers are asked to contact Joanne.  A note to all players and parents that mouthguards are now compulsory for all matches and training, they’re as important as the boots so na dearna sibh dearmad (Don’t Forget).

Senior Training continues on Tuesday and Friday nights at 7:45 sharp on the “Holy Ground”.  There’s been a great turnout lately with up on thirty togged out most nights.  First round league games are scheduled for the end of March and with February a short month it won’t be long till that comes around.  It’s great to see our club players representing the county at all levels, with two minors, an under 21 and senior player on their respective County panels. Minors are requested to attend senior training.

Clones Erne East Project; the naming of this venue continues with a brainstorming session on this Sunday the 17th of February in the Orange Hall in Aghadrumsee, please attend if you can.  This is your opportunity to bring your ideas to the table, this is a community effort and your support is valued.

Get Well Soon a little word goes out to Mary Connolly of Analore St, who’s recovering from a bad fall, speedy recovery Mary and remember you’ve plenty of friends in the club and you need only ask if there’s anything we can do to aid your recovery.
