Lotto AGM: The Lotto committee AGM takes place in the clubhouse this Sunday (December 23) at 8.30pm sharp. All involved with the lotto are invited to attend. This will be followed by the last draw of the year, with the first draw of 2013 taking place on January 6.
Christmas party: We are hosting our own club Christmas party this Sunday night, December 23, in the clubhouse. Among the attractions on the night will be a free raffle, Santa and karaoke. Admission is free and there will also be drinks promotions and buses on hand to take people home at reasonable prices, so a great club night is in store.
Charity match: The club’s annual charity match will take place on Sunday, December 30, with Hugh Coyle throwing the ball in at 2.30pm. This is always a great day out over the Christmas season and supports worthy local causes. As ever, everyone is welcome to take part, young and old. Food and refreshments will be served afterwards in the clubhouse. Sponsorship forms are available from Owen Connell so contact him at 086 2453390 or call into the clubhouse if you want to take part.
Monaghan Harps Christmas Variety Concert: This takes place on St. Stephen’s night, December 26, in the clubhouse from 7pm, with music and novelty acts set to perform. Light refreshments will be served. As usual, great effort has been made in preparation for this night, which will showcase the talent within the club. Admission is great value at €10 and everyone is welcome!
Congratulations: To Fearghal McMahon on his selection on the Ulster Colleges Football All-Star team. This is a great honour for himself, his family, club and school.
Gear: Some Monaghan Harps juvenile club gear is for sale. We have one jersey (7-8 years), three hoodies (two x 9-10 yrs and one x 7-8yrs) plus one jacket (7-8 yrs), all items costing €30 each. Collection: Thanks to everyone who braved the cold weather to help out at our church-gate collection last weekend.
Team management: Anyone interested in managing one of the club’s juvenile teams in 2013 is asked to forward their names to the football development committee. Expressions of interest regarding underage teams should be sent to Ciarán Mulligan (086 8411275) as soon as possible.
Yearbook: The Official Monaghan GAA Yearbook is now on sale from all usual local outlets and would make an ideal Christmas present.

Membership: Membership fees for 2013 are being maintained as follows: €20 per adult, €10 per child or €50 for a family of two adults and any number of children. Money can be paid to registrar Maurice Galligan, treasurer John Harden or in the clubhouse.
Mouth-guards: It will be compulsory from January 1, 2013 for all players from minor down to wear a mouth guard at both training and matches. All players and juvenile mentors are asked to take note.
