€5,000 Lotto Jackpot winner: Congratulations to yearly ticket holder, Seamus McKenna-Dungillick, who scooped our lotto jackpot of €5,000 with the four winning numbers of 2, 12, 18, 24. Next week’s jackpot will revert back to €1,000. Next weeks check team: Josie’s team.

Seniors: We play at home to Clontibret in the league this Sunday 7th August at 2pm.

Reserve Div. 1 (B’s): We lost in the final of the O’Duffy Cup championship last Wednesday night, 1-5 to 2-6.  Our team was: Ian Treanor; Mike Treanor, Pauric Treanor, John McCarron; Darren Todd, Eoghan Kelly, Michael McCrudden; Ciaran Feely, Gary Feely; Brendan Treanor, Gary Meehan, Justin Halligan; Sean McKenna, Christopher McKenna, Daniel Finnegan. Subs Used: Gary Todd for Brendan Treanor (20mins), Paddy McKenna for Michael McCrudden (41mins), Martin Owens for Daniel Finnegan (45mins), Dermot McKenna for Justin Halligan (47mins) & Paul Donaghue for Sean McKenna (54mins).

Reserve Div. 4 (D’s): We travel to Killanny for our next game next Wednesday, 10th August, at 7.30pm.

Minors: We play away to Monaghan Harps next Tuesday, 9th August, at 7.30pm.

Strictly Come Dancing: Comes to Truagh this autumn. Keep free Friday 28th October for the final.

Club Shop: The club shop will is now open each Tuesday between 6.30pm-7.30pm and every Thursday and Friday evening between 7-8pm.

U-6s: Coaching resumes this Saturday at 10am for 4, 5 & 6 year old boys and girls in St. Mellans. Indoor area will be used in the event of bad weather. All welcome.

U-8s & U-10s: play away to Eire Og this Thursday 4th August. Bus leaves St. Mellans at 6.15pm.

U-12s: Our next a1 game is away to Monaghan Harps on Thursday 11th August at 8pm. Bus leaves St. Mellans at 7pm.  22nd July at 7pm. Our next game for the u12s a2 team is away to Emerald Sarsfields on Thursday 11th August at 7.30pm. Bus leaves St. Mellans at 6pm. Training continues as per management.

U-14s: Our were beaten by Corduff last week. Our next game is away to Cremartin on Saturday 13th of August at 12pm. Bus leaves St. Mellans at 11.00am. Training continues as per management.

U-16s: claimed a walk over against Killanny last week. Training continues as per management.

Truagh U-10 blitz: takes place Saturday 13th of August in St. Mellans. We have 24 teams competing for the John Treanor (Paddy) memorial cup and shield. Anyone willing to help out with field duties or catering text your name to Sean McGinn on 0863388638.

 

Camogie:

Seniors: Training continues tomorrow at 7.30pm and on Monday at 7.30pm.

Juveniles: Juvenile training on Saturday at 11am.

Hoodies: Anyone who has not collected their hoodies please see Eilish as soon as possible.

 

Ladies Football:

U-12’s : Training & Games continues as per management.

U-14’s: Training continues as per management.

U-18’s: Competition due to start on 18th August 2011.

Senior A’s: Training continues as per management.

Senior B’s : We have one more game left in this competition away to Emyvale B before the semi finals are run.

Thousand Euro Drop: €€€€ Takes place on Saturday 13th August in St.Mellans. Tickets on sale now at €10 each. There will a draw on Thursday 11th August to pick the first batch of contestants. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Senior 7 a side blitz: We are running a Senior 7-a-side blitz in memory of Peader & Louise McGeough on Saturday 20th August. Any teams interested in entering please contact Grainne via email at truaghladies@gmail.com

 

 

Hurling:

 

Seniors: were beaten by Castleblayney last Thursday in the semi final of the championship. We play at home to Monaghan Harps in the league this Thursday, 4th August, at 7.30pm.

Mr and Mrs: Thanks to all for the support last Saturday night.

Minors: start our campaign at home to Castleblayney this Sunday at 12pm.
