Fri 19^th Aug IFL Tyholland V Seans @7pm TBC

Wed 24^th Aug IFL Seans V Currin  @ 7:30 pm.

Reserve League:

Our B team took on Scotstown in the RFL Division 3 last Sunday last. In a game in which we were well and truly beaten, our men came to life with ten minutes remaining and secured a win from a six point deficit to a four point win. We now must take on Kileevan and a win is a must to have any chance of securing fourth in the division.   Best wishes to James Murphy who got a knock during the match, and hope to see him back on the field again soon. Thank you to Seamus Mullen and Gene Mc Carey from Scotstown who assisted at the match last Sunday, your help is greatly appreciated.

 

Jubilee Celebrations:

We are currently in the process of producing a DVD compiling the history of the club. Anybody who would like to suggest items to include in same, please contact Gerry Lynch or Ciaran Mc Entee by the end of August.

 

Cultural Night:

Our monthly Traditional session took place last Friday night. This was another great night, coinciding as it did with Joe McElvaney’s 80^th birthday celebrations!! A huge thank you to all the musicians & singers on the night – our local talent, plus those who travelled from Dublin, Monaghan, Emyvale, Corcaghan & Fermanagh. A terrific night was had by all. Thank you !

So, remember to keep the 2nd Friday free! Next session takes place on Friday 9^th September. We look forward to seeing you all there!

CLG Sean Mac Diarmada would like to sympathise with the Clerkin family on the death of Brian Clerkin. Brian was a member of the 1956 championship winning team and a loyal Seans supporter.  To the Mulligan family on the death of Macartan’s wife Nayana, who sadly has been taken from us long before her time. May they rest in peace.
