Seniors. Clones put up an exelent display against Emyvale on Sunday last. Clones were playing with a very strong wind which was of no advantage in the first half and found themselves trailing the home team 1.5 to no score after only 10 minutes. Moving Collie McCaughey out to the middle of the field on to Benny McKenna ended their dominence in this area and Clones fought hard to keep themselves within touching distance of the home team, thanks to the hard work of Mousey Treanor, Paul Sheilds, Danny Rooney, C Kelly and the accuracy of David Freeman and Adrian Alford. A superb second half work rate, some very good running play and excellant scores coming from Niall Nollan Jnr, Daragh Graham, David Freeman and Adrain Alford who scored the equalising score, Clones were probobly unlucky not to come away with a win but looking back on the terriable start, we were very happy to come away with one point.

Hurling – Well done to ben slowey kevin coogan simon o connell kevin o reilly and conor smith who took part in the under10 half time game in st.tiernachs last saturday. the boys where lucky to finish on the winning team thanks to a goal from conor smith. hurling training continues every monday at 5.00-6.15 for all the players
