Seniors played away to Drumhowan on Saturday evening last in the I.F.L. The home side started the better and raced into a 5 point lead in the opening 10 minutes. Aughnamullen opened their account through Sean Sheridan with a fine solo effort before Lauren Ward converted a free kick. From the next attack Aughnamullen found the net when the ball fell kindly to Mark Mc Ardle and he made no mistake to bring the sides level for the first time. Chris Keenan put the away side in front but Drumhowan hit back immediatly with two points. Aughnamullen then went on to register 4 unanswered points in the closing stages of the first half through Lee Conlon, Chris Keenan, Pete Dooney and Lauren Ward to leave the H/T score Drumhowan 0-7 Aughnamullen 1-7.
The second half started much like the first with Drumhowan hitting the first 4 scores to put them ahead by a point. Mark Mc Ardle hit back for the visitors in the 11 minute and Lauren Ward converted another free to put us back infront. Neither team registered a score in the next twenty minutes of play but deep into injury time Drumhowan were awarded a soft free which they converted to leave the sides level at the final whistle.
