RFL Div 4: Toome Vs Emyvale Sun 27th @ 2.30pm

Under 14: Training this evening (Thursday) at 7pm in Toome. We play Cremartin at home at 12:00 on Saturday, players to be at the field for 11:30

Under 14s v Corduff: Started their season with a fine away win over a strong Corduff side. Luke Murtagh played well in goals, while Hugo Connolly had a fine game at full back, ably assisted by Mark Byrne. Half backs Stephen Blessing, Ciaran McCooey and Bartek used their strength and tenacity to great effect, making life difficult for the Corduff attack. Ryan Murphy attacked at will from midfield, with Frank Connolly working hard throughout, laying on scores from the left foot. Mark McMahon had a good game on his return from injury. In attack, John McGinn and Ryan McMahon both did well, making life difficult for Corduff. John Gorman played well, using his long passing skills to good effect, while James Wilson ran his opponents ragged at times. All 3 subs played well, Joseph Harte came into the full back line, helping to shore up the defence, while Keane O’Reilly and Kevin McCooey’s clever use of posession up front helped us to close the game out. Foireann: L Murtagh; H Connolly, M Byrne; S Blessing, C McCooey, Bartek; M McMahon, R Murphy; J McGinn, F Connolly, J Wilson; J Gorman, R McMahon; J Harte, K McCooey, K O’Reilly
