Training: Training continues on Fridays and Tuesdays at 8:00pm as well as Sunday mornings. We had a useful challenge game against Shercock on Sunday last with the performance of a number of our younger players the highlight. Thanks to Shercock GFC for coming down.

Fixtures: Get the vocal chords checked everyone as the season is about to kick off. Our reserve team play Truagh in Aghabog on Thursday 17th March. The seniors will get their junior football league campaign underway on Sunday March 20th with a home game against Cremartin.

Player of the Year: Well done to goalkeeper Sean McBride for being bestowed with Player of the Year award at our annual presentation night on Saturday last. A stalwart for Aghabog down through the years, Sean acts as a calming influence at the back, always on hand to point out any (rare) defensive lapses in a low key and refrained manner. Congratulations on a very well deserved honour Sean!

First Aid Course: A First Aid refresher course will take place in the clubhouse TONIGHT, Thursday 10th March at 7pm sharp. The course is designed for anyone involved in the club and we encourage everyone to come along.

Registration Night: The last chance to register as a club member, social member or player is this Sunday 13th March in the clubhouse between 7pm – 9pm. In accordance with Croke Park rules, players who are not registered and insured will not be allowed participate in fixtures. The onus is therefore on all players and parents of younger children to come down on Sunday evening to ensure you are able to play for Aghabog in the year ahead. Those wishing to use the clubhouse in the year ahead must also come down and register as a Social member.

Juvenile Affairs:

U-10s/U-12s: There is no U-10 or U-12 training on Saturday morning.

U-12s: Our U-12 team have a game in Threemilehouse on Saturday at 4pm. Bus leaving Aghabog at 3:30pm. Please come along and support.

Field Ads: The rent is now due for field ads. We will be in touch with all concerned in the coming weeks about this valuable source of revenue.

Sports Bags: Club sports bags are available from Paddy O’Brien for €30. Contact: 086-0683190
