U21 Division 2 Championship Final 

Truagh 4 – 18 Latton 2 – 7

Played in St. Mary’s Park Scotstown last Friday the 30th of July Truagh proved too strong for a Latton side who over Emyvale in the semi final on the Wednesday night. Truagh were in control from the start and were superior in all areas of the field with Latton struggling to gain a foothold. This told on the half time scoreline with Truagh well ahead with a score of 3 -15 to Latton’s 1-1.

In the second half to their credit Latton put up a good fight with then coming more into the game and at times they made piercing runs through  the Truagh defence  outscoring Truagh in the second half 1-3  to 1-6. However it all was a little too late after the first half performance as Truagh ran out winners on a full time score line Truagh 4-18  Latton 2-7.

Afterwards the Kerley Cup was presented by assistant treasurer Ailish Mc Entee to the joint Captains of Truagh  Niall Rooney and Adam Treanor
