Monaghan Kellogg’s Cul Camp Launch

June 7th, 2016

Monaghan Kellogg’s Cul Camp Launch

On Monday the 30th May, Monaghan Coaching & Games launched this year’s Kellogg’s Cul Camps at a Club Coaching Officer Meeting which took place in Cloghan.

The meeting was used to provide information and give each host club promotional material on the camps. An up to date database on the current numbers registered on the camps was given to the clubs and also a breakdown on the numbers which attended the camps in 2015. This information could then to used to pinpoint their own promotion of the camp and make sure they promote the camp with groups within their club who would have had small numbers attending the camp last year.

For parents looking to register their children on the camps, you can register by two different methods. Firstly you can fill in the application form (which your child will have brought home with them from school) and call into Cloghan with the relevant money attached. Otherwise and probably the simplest way is to register online. Simply go to the Kellogg’s Cul Camp website (kelloggsculcamp.gaa.ie), find the camp your child would like to go to and just fill in the application form. Finally, there will be a number of Registration Evenings taking place in 10 of the host clubs. The Registration Event is specially aimed at families who would normally wait until the first morning of the camp to register their children. By getting your child’s name in as early as possible, gives us in Monaghan GAA a better chance of ensuring your child will receive their kit and backpack during the camp itself and they will not waiting two or three weeks for it to arrive.

The camps run from Monday to Friday with fun filled GAA relating games and activities planned for each and every day. They will run from 10pm – 2.30pm each day, with plenty of breaks and stoppages throughout the day, especially for the younger age groups.

The price for attending the camps will be remaining the same as the last number of years with the first child costing €55, the second child €45 and every child after that €40.

If you have any questions about the camps, you can either contact the county coordinator Paul O’Connor (developmentmanager.monaghan@gaa.ie/ 086 837 4827) or any of the local camp coordinators (their names and numbers can be found on the application forms and posters) and they will be glad to help.
