Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Div 2 Championship Final

Donaghmoyne 8 – 12 Truagh 4 – 8

On Saturday last the 25^th of April in Blackhill, Truagh took on Donaghmoyne in the Féile U14 Div 2 Final. Donaghmoyne raced into an early lead with 2 early goals from Liam Mc Donald and Joshua Wilson. Truagh fought back and scored 2 goals themselves to leave the half time score Donaghmoyne 2 – 6 to Truagh 2- 3. However that was as good as it got for Truagh  as Donaghmoyne scored an unanswered 2 – 3 in the 1^st 6 mins of the 2^nd half. They battled on bravely and a further 8 goals were scored in what was an entertaining game even though Donaghmoyne were never threatened. The full time score finished Donaghmoyne 8 -12 (36) Truagh 4-8(20) Donaghmoyne now go on to represent Monaghan in the Féile finals in the South East in late June where their host Club will be Monageer/Boolavogue in Wexford
