Under 10.  Magheracloone hosted a blitz last week-end with four neighbours clubs as visitors. A very enjoyable day was had by all. Special thanks to Ryan McNulty, Jack Doogan and Lauren Byrne for acting as referees and for the ladies who looked after the catering throughout the day. The senior club sponsored treats for all the participants. Credit for the success of the day must go to Declan Farrelly who devoted countless hours  to ensure the success of the blitz. This week it is the turn of Killanny to act as hosts and their Under-10 blitz will take place on Saturday from 10.00 to 12.00.

The young players that travelled to Truagh for the Ulster blitz showed heart, determination and pride in the jersey that many a senior team could learn from. After playing five games unbeaten against teams from Cavan, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Armagh they were eventually beaten on a score line of 4-1 to 2-4. Thanks to the team mentors Gary, Francie, Eamon for taking the day out to ensure the Under-10 team got to compete against the best.

Under- 8. Over seventy young people from the club participated in this year’s Cul Camp in Magheracloone. Many of these were from the under-8 age group and hopefully these players will have learned and will retain many skills from the week’s camp.  There will be no training for this group for the next two weeks.
