Report on Go Games Blitz

The first of the Under 10 Go Games Blitzes took place on Saturday last 21^st April. In all there were 6 blitzes that took place throughout the county on Saturday. The 6 host venue’s where

• Currin – Eire Og, Killeevan, Aghabog and Tyholland participated in this blitz.
• Killanny – Donaghmoyne, Magheracloone and Inniskeen participated in this blitz.
• Monaghan Harps – Carrickmacross, Castleblayney Truagh and Cremartin participated in this blitz.
• Clontibret – Emyvale, Clones and Aughnamullan participated in this blitz.
• Fergal O Hanlons – Doohamlet, Sean Mc Dermotts, Toome and Drumhowan participated in this blitz.
• Oram – Ballybay, Corduff and Rockcorry participated in this blitz.

Overall 27 clubs took part in the blitzes, 390 children took part in playing in the blitzes.

Through our new Go Games Referee’s Programme, we had 18 new referee’s officiating at the blitzes. All clubs had only positive comments to make on how the new referee’s preformed throughout the blitzes.

We would like to thank the host clubs for the use of their facilities, organising fixtures, setting up of pitches and providing refreshments for after the blitz.

We would also like to thank the 27 clubs that took part in the blitzes, also a big thank you to the new referee’s, who done an excellent job of referring the games.
