Club AGM
Our Club AGM was held in the Community Centre on Friday 16th December last with many nominations from members. Yearly reports were heard from our Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Juvenile Officer as well as Ladies Chairman. They mentioned the various successes around our club during the year both on and off the pitch. After 5 years of great work around the club, Declan Gartlan stepped down from his role of chairman – he wasn’t getting away that easily though as he was elected as Vice-Chairman and Brian Shelvin, who had been nominated for the role by long serving member Luke Cunningham was the sole runner to replace Declan and was duly appointed as new chairman of the club. Fergal Quinn was appointed to the clubs committee as well as Gavin Flanagan as players rep. Damien Gartlan was appointed as County board representative. We wish Brian, Damien and Gavin all the best in their new roles and thank Declan for all his efforts over his successful term as chairman. On the pitch, last years management team of Fra & Paddy McPhillips along with Jimmy Gartlan were ratified for a second season in charge and will lead us in the Intermediate ranks next year – best of luck to all in 2023.
