Donaghmoyne Ladies: Commiserations to the Donaghmoyne Ladies who lost out to an excellent Kilkerrin Clonberne side in the All Ireland Final in Croke Park on Saturday Evening.

Ulster Final: Good luck to Corduff in the Intermediate Ulster Final on Saturday evening in Newry.

Club Volunteer Award: This year’s Donaghmoyne Club Volunteer award recipient is Gerry McDonald Gerry began volunteering with the club in the late 70’s and continued this service until 2009.

Serving as PRO from 1987 – 1989, Secretary from 1992 – 2002 an eleven year tenure, County Board

Delegate for 18 years and Chairman of Donaghmoyne for many years, approaching each role with

Dedication and enthusiasm. During this time he was instrumental in the establishment of our club

lotto, he is still selling club lotto’s each week. Gerry spearheaded the acquisition of club grounds

and the development of same. In the true spirit of volunteering – when he resigned from the

committee, he took on the role of bagman with the senior team. While serving on the county board

Gerry served as County Board Development Officer from 2010-2014. Today Gerry continues to

support Donaghmoyne on and off the pitch, a proud uncle to senior players Ronan, Gareth and Liam

Mc Donald. Looking to the future Gerry is excited to support Donaghmoyne in the proposed

development of our club grounds. Gerry as a club we thank you for your contribution and your

continued support.


Recent Deaths: Donaghmoyne would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late John Smith, Kilkenny and Kingscourt. We also extend our sympathies to the family and friends of the late Christopher Mooney Knockreagh Lower, may they rest in eternal peace
