Castleblayney Faugh’s notes week beginning 21/11/2022

Senior Ladies: Our senior ladies are through to the junior All Ireland Semi Final in Cork this weekend, well done ladies!! Full details on the match and bus are on Facebook. Ar an Domhnach an 20 Samhain 2022 rinne mná Faughs stair gaisce. Chuaigh siad fhad le aerfort Bhaile Átha Cliath luath maidin Shathairn, ghlac siad eitleán anonn go Lucsamburg agus shuigh siad go foighneach ar bhus ar thuras dhá uair go leith go Maastricht. D’imir siad in éadan foireann láidir ón mBeilg an mhaidin dár gcionn. Chuaigh na cailíní chun páirce ag 10 a chlog am na hÉireann agus cé go ndearna roinnt den lucht tacaíochta an turas chun an cluiche a fheiceáil beo, d’fhéach an chuid eile againn go neirbhíseach ón mbaile. Ba í Hazel Hughes an chéad duine a scóráil nuair a chuir sí an liathróid thar an trasnán go luath sa chéad leath. Fuair an Bheilg pointe chun an cluiche a chothromú go gairid ina dhiaidh. Scóráil an Bheilg an chéad chúl sé nóiméad déag isteach sa chéad leath ach scóráil Hazel Hughes, a bhí an-láidir agus diongbháilte i rith an chluiche, céad chúl Baile na Lorgan. Ag leath-ama bhí mná Faughs trí phointe chun tosaigh. Nóiméad go leith isteach sa dara leath scóráil Jodie Mc Quillan pointe álainn. Ba iad Aimee Donnelly, Orlaith Maguire, Aoibheann Mc Cooey, Emma Heavin agus Grace Hanratty na scórálaithe eile.

Léirigh mna Faughs a gcuid paisean agus diongbháilteacht sa dara leath. Bhí díocas orthu chun an bua a fháil agus sin a rinne siad!!!! Táimid chomh bródúil as ár mná. An scór deiridh ó Maastricht:  An Bheilg 5-2 Faughs Bhaile na Lorgan 2-19

Beidh na céadta ag taisteal ó Bhaile na Lorgan go Baile Bhuirne an deireadh seachtaine seo chugainn do chluiche leathcheannais na hÉireann……….Mná Faughs abú! Ríona Mac Searraigh
