Castleblayney Faugh’s notes week beginning 07/11/2022 

Senior Ladies: Our senior ladies are Junior Ulster Champions! Congratulations girls! Their next game takes them to Belgium for the All- Ireland Quarter Final. The club is doing a fundraising drive to help cover the cost of the senior ladies trip to Belgium, to play the All Ireland club Q Final there will be €10 tickets on sales, the option to have your business linked to a player through sponsorship and donations through our link. www.castleblayneyfaughs.com/Brussels

U7’s: Boys u7 Fun football Street League commences on Saturday 12th November at 9.30am to 10.30am in Castleblayney College Gym and will runs for 5 weeks. New players, are very welcome. Contact Ray McArdle for further information on 0871383603. 

Juveniles: Our u6 winter program continues this Thursday evening.  Open to all boys and girls 4 to 6 years old (Born 2016, 2017, and 2018) Contact Damien on +353876138152 for further information. 

Faugh’s 5k Run: The annual McMahon’s 5k run takes place on 27th November at 1pm for the u14 race and 2pm for everyone else. Pre-registration €15, registration on the day €20. Register today at: www.myrunresults.com 

AGM: Club AGM has been fixed for Friday 18th November, 7.30pm in Iontas.  This is your opportunity to find out how the club overall is performing and a chance for you to ask questions and provide ideas to help bring the club forward.  Nomination & motion forms are available from the club secretary Philip, 087 920 1381, secretary.castleblayney.monaghan@gaa.ie and will be available for download from the club website, www.castleblayneyfaughs.com, in the next few days. 

Lotto: Lotto results Jackpot €3,900 wasn’t won, the numbers were 07, 12, 28, and 29. Next week’s jackpot is €4,000. The 4 lucky dips are Fintan O’Reilly, Geraldine Cumiskey, Caroline Fox, and Abi O’Connor. 

The club is looking at increasing lotto sales both online and through lotto ticket distribution.  If anyone can help or knows of anybody that might be interested in selling lotto tickets around the housing estates at the weekend, contact any committee member. 

 

Bingo: Bingo continues every Wednesday night at Our Lady’s Concert Hall, jackpot is €2200, winner takes all played at game 8 and double your money at game 10 and high low game played after game 8. Lots of chances to win lots of money. 

 

Open night: Castleblayney College invites 5th & 6th class pupils to its  Open Night is on Thursday 10th November 7pm-9pm. Principal’s Address @ 7.15pm. 

Walking track: The lights for the walking track have been officially switched on this week and will be lit from 5-9pm every day. This is open to anyone in the community who wishes to use the walking track amenity. Please note dogs are not permitted on the grounds. 

Quiz Night: There is a bilingual table quiz in Monaghan Harps Centre on Thursday 17th November at 8pm organised by Muineachán le Gaeilge. Anyone interested contact Clare on 0860702195. 

Culture: Anyone interested in singing National Anthem before matches contact 0860792195. 

Culture: Every week we hope to include a piece in Irish for our club notes submitted by some secondary school students. Any students interested in writing a few sentences in Irish weekly for club notes contact Clare on 0860702195.
