Book Launch: This Friday night the 11th of November sees the launch of a book of great historical interest to the local and wider community. The book is a history of the O Daly/Daly family who originated from Lurgahamla from 1895 onwards. Not only does the book trace the path of a large family of 11 children but it also gives a fascinating insight into the social, economic, and political climate of the first half of the 20th century in county Monaghan and rural Ireland. The contribution of a number of members of the family to the GAA in Aughnamullen parish and county reveals some hitherto unknown and undocumented gems of information. The launch takes place in Aughnamullen Community Centre starting at 7-30pm with presentations from current members of the O Daly clan who compiled the book. The event is open to the wider public who are encouraged to come along.

Big Truck Show: The model toy and truck show will take place this Sunday the 13th of November in the new venue of the Old Roadstone Yard, beside Applegreen, Castleblayney. Proceeds on the day are in aid of local charities Monaghan Palliative Care & Castleblayney Care.

Ladies: Aughnamullen Ladies AGM will take place on Wednesday the 23rd of November at 8pm in the Social Centre. It is fantastic to see our club growing year by year and our juveniles having brilliant success this year. With the growing numbers and the hope of developing our club further, Aughnamullen Ladies need more help. It would be great to see as many parents as possible at our AGM, without a committee their will be no football for the girls. Spread the word and see you all there.

Aughnamullen Ladies are holding our annual presentation night on Saturday the 19th of November along with music by the Fuzzy Burgers.
