Hard luck to our Senior ladies team who were defeated by Corduff on a scoreline of 2-8 to 0-06 in the Intermediate Championship Final on Friday evening past. Well done to Corduff who were the better team on the day and good luck in the Ulster Club competition.

Thank you to all of our Senior Players and management on your efforts all year and to everyone in Gaeil Triucha CLG – Truagh Gaels for the use of the excellent facilities throughout the year.

We woud also like to thank all the volunteers and coaches for all the time given.

To Our Main Sponsors Cornacrieve Mushrooms and Errigal Contracts and everyone who supported our club all year in different ways.

Meeting. Committee meeting tonight (Thursday 13th) @ 8:30pm, a few outstanding issues to be sorted.

Mono League. The adult league is ongoing and all is running smoothly, great attendance so keep it up, remember all points are been kept for future referencing for seeding, and some games have been won by the minimum of points so everyone is vital, keep going!!!!.

Registration. Registration is now been lifted, Croke Park were looking to get paid direct but as of yet we haven’t been able to set the system up, the fee for the year is 50 Euro for adult playing members (this covers Croke Park, club membership, insurance and possible fee of 5 euro X 2 for singles and double in county championships), students 20 Euro, juveniles 10 Euros and non-playing members 10 Euros.

Juvenile Coaching & Leagues. We have set up coaching for the younger juveniles & beginners this week, and all seems good as we have completed the first week, we hope to have leagues set up possibly within the next 2 weeks when all settles down and they will run along with the coaching hoping that all the coache’s wise words will prove fruitful, again all will be messaged out when it is set up.

Handball Gear. Some of the younger players might be in need of some gear, stock has been got for the club shop so check it out, if any child requires anything please let a member of the committee or any of the coaches know.

Juvenile Blitz. There are a few Blitz’s organised for juveniles within Ulster in the coming months, the first is in Kingscourt Co.Cavan on Saturday October the 29th, and the next one is on Sunday the 4th of December in Saval Co.Down, these are for U9-U12, both girls & boys, so we will be letting players and parents know, it is a great opportunity for the younger players to get some external play and experience against different players in different venues, so we hope as many as possible can travel.

Hurler in the Alps

Good luck to Gaeil Triúcha- Truagh hurler Dominic Flood who is this week competing in the World Skills Joinery Competition in Basel, Switzerland. Dominic who works for Kieran Mc Kenna Staircases, Carrickroe is a 3rd year Apprentice with Cavan Monaghan Education and Training Board (ETB) and is the 2021 Irish Joinery Skills Champion. On top of his defensive duties he is known to be able to repair a few broken sticks and to make one at short notice. We trust that he will give the competition his best shot and look forward to hearing the results this Saturday. Perhaps we could be welcoming home a World Champion next week.
