We wish Colin McAree all the best in his future
Colin McAree has stepped down from his position as the Scotstown GAA Senior Football Manager. Colin was ratified as Scotstown GAA Senior Football Manager in November 2019. Within that time Colin managed the Senior Football team to regain the Monaghan Senior Club Football Championship in 2020 securing the 20th win for our club. In 2021 he managed the club to retain the Mick Duffy cup and the club won the championship and league cup double for the first time since 2015, when Scotstown won the Owen Ward cup. This year under Colin the senior team achieved an incredible 10th final in the row but lost to a strong and brilliant Ballybay side but managed to win the Senior League and retain the Owen Ward trophy. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Colin and all those in his backroom team during his time for all their hard work, dedication, contribution and success to the club and for nurturing in more of our superb players from juvenile level facilitating the ongoing bright future for our club. Colin’s loyalty, devotion, passion and professionalism for our club has greatly assisted our progression from 2019, right through the difficult period of the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic, and we wish him all the best in his bright future.

The Lord Mayor Campaign in the 1980s to fund the building of Sportlann Mhuire (the complex) and development of St. Marys Park and indeed, the ambitious purchase Of Kilmore in 1995 which has contributed to the outstanding success we achieve today.
Cairde na Botha is your opportunity to help your club continue this successful development for this generation and the next into the future. Fully paid up Members of Cairde Na Botha will have the benefit of their name engraved on the supporters’ wall at the Kilmore training grounds.
