Clontibret Notes

Senior Championship

Disappointment on Sunday in the senior championship semi final as despite a good first half performance against Ballybay we allowed them stamp their authority on the game as the second half progressed. Best wishes to them in the final.

Many thanks is due to the players and management who put so much effort into this year’s championship but it just didn’t go according to plan in the end.

Player of the Year

Following the wind up of this year’s campaign the players choose their Player of the Year with team captain Francis Hughes being a very popular choice. Well done Frank.

U13 Final

Unfortunately we didn’t just get across the line last Saturday against Tyholland. It was a valiant effort were we controlled a large part of the game but just failed to register it on the scoreboard. Well done to the entire panel though who along with the coaches have put in a tremendous effort all year.

Last Saturday seen our last blitz. Thanks to Tyholland, Drumhowan & Scotstown for accommodating an early start.

That concludes our juvenile activity regarding official games and fixtures for 2022. Many thanks to all our coaches, who give up their time to make things happen and also to our parents for all the support throughout the year. And especially a big well done to all our Juveniles. We hope you all had an enjoyable year and look forward to seeing you develop even more. We’ll take a short break but we will be introducing winter programmes for all our underage groups over the course of the winter. CluainTiobraid Abu
