Clontibret Notes

O’Neill Park

Well done to all the stewards and helpers who ensured the smooth running of the intermediate semi final on Sunday in awful weather conditions.

Main Pitch Closed

Please note that following on from recent games on very wet days the main pitch is now in need of some renovation work and is accordingly closed to all activity until further notice.

Juveniles

The last activity of the year for the Juveniles on the football pitch was played last weekend where we hosted Magheracloone in the u11 Liam Stirrat League. Well done to all our boys who accounted for themselves extremely well and have made massive strides this year.

That concludes our official fixtures’ schedule for the year but we will be running winter programmes of various activities over the winter months for all our ages right across the board.

In the meantime, we encourage all our young players to stay active, get involved in other physical sports….run, jump, walk, burn that energy!! It’s been great to see so many of our families already using the track as we enter this time of year. It’s a fantastic facility to have and a brilliant way for a family to spend time together – good for the mind as well as the body! Many thanks to the people who keep it in such great condition.

Pitches will be ‘officially’ closed to games shortly but that doesn’t mean that they are closed! Again, make sure and take the opportunity to get out on them….whether it’s just a kick about with Mum or Dad….or arrange to meet up with a few friends. If balls are a problem, reach out to your coaches who’ll gladly make footballs available.

Another year about to pass….another year will soon start… Cluain Tiobraid Abu.

U15 Hurling

Commiserations to U 15 hurlers who narrowly lost Div 1 final to Blayney 2-8 to 4-6.
