Doohamlet G.F.C Results:  Our senior team played Tyholland last Saturday evening in Tyholland.  Conditions for the game were excellent and we came away with a well-deserved win in the first game of the relegation battle.  Tyholland opened up the scoring with a point, but Doohamlet was quick to reply with a point from a mark from Barry Mc Bennett followed by a second point from Barry from play.  Jamie Walshe placed another point for Doohamlet.  Tyholland replied with a point and our keeper James Casey made a great save which kept us ahead.  Both teams traded scores with Captain Barry Mc Ginn scoring two points, brother Hugh with a point, and Barry Mc Bennett with another two scores.   Niall Connolly slots one over the bar and Colin Walshe rattles the Tyholland net, resulting from a great run by Barry Mc Ginn.  Jamie Walshes scored a point from play just before the half-time whistle giving us a five-point lead at halftime.  Doohamlet 1-10 Tyholland 0-08  Doohamlet opens up the scoring in the second half with Barry Mc Bennett scoring five points in succession.  Ciaran Markey replaces Eoin Markey.  Barry Mc Ginn scores a point from play and Barry Mc Bennett puts another over the bar leaving his total scoring to ten points in the game enough to win a game on its own.  Niall Connolly scores a point from play.  Oisin O Neill replaces Barry Mc Bennett and Kevin Mc Ardle replaces Gavin King.   Darren Connolly hits a point from play. Paul Mc Ardle replaces Niall Connolly and David Mc Ginn replaces Hugh Mc Ginn.  Paul Mc Ardle scores the final point from play for Doohamlet leaving the score at full-time Doohamlet 1-21 Tyholland 0-13.  A great win for the team and all involved.  Best of luck to the team and management on Sunday when they play Monaghan Harps at home.

Our Senior play Monaghan Harps in the Mc Elvaneys Waste & Recycling Intermediate Football Championship in Doohamlet at 1pm on Sunday the 25th of September in round 2 of the relegation battle. 

Condolences:  Doohamlet G.F.C. extends its deepest sympathy to the Boylan Family on the death of Mrs.  Kathleen Boylan in her 100th year.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
