Doohamlet G.F.C. Results: Our senior team played Corduff in round four of the Mc Elvaneys Waste & Recycling Intermediate Football Championship on Sunday evening last. This was a highly anticipated game with a huge turnout in attendance.  Doohamlet opened the scoring with a free point from Barry Mc Bennett, followed a couple of minutes later by a second free kick by Barry Mc Bennett being palmed into the back of the net by Hugh Mc Ginn.  Corduff replied with a point and Barry Mc Bennett puts another over the bar edging us ahead, minutes later Corduff gets a goal.  Both teams traded scores with Barry Mc Bennett converting two more frees and Jamie Walshe scoring a point from play bringing the score at half-time Doohamlet 1-05 Corduff 1-04.  Doohamlet opens the scoring in the second half with a free kick from Barry Mc Bennett and a point from Jamie Walshe.  Corduff replies with a goal and a point.  Paul Mc Ardle replaces Hugh Mc Ginn. Eoin Markey replaces Oisin O Neill. Doohamlet is reduced to fourteen men after receiving a red card.   Captain Barry Mc Ginn scores a point from play bringing the sides level Doohamlet 1-08 Corduff 2-05. Corduff hit back with a goal and a point edging them ahead.  Sean Markey replaces Ryan Ingram.  Barry Mc Ginn scores another point from play and Barry Mc Bennett scores his sixth point of the day but unfortunately, the whistle blows for full-time and we end up being defeated by two points.  The final score was Doohamlet 1-11 (14)  Corduff 3-07 (16). Team: James Casey, Conor Marray, Declan Walshe, Ryan Ingram, Darren Connolly, Gavin King, Jason Mc Elroy, Barry Mc Bennett (0-6) Jamie Walshe (0-2) Damien Ward, Colin Walshe, Ciaran Mc Manus, Hugh Mc Ginn (1-1) Barry Mc Ginn (Capt) (0-2) Oisin O Neill.  Subs used Paul Mc Ardle, Eoin Markey, and Sean Markey.

Doohamlet G.F.C.Fixtures:  

U-15s: Saturday 10th Sept. U15s play Cremartin in the Division 4 championship in Doohamlet @ 12 noon 

Seniors: Our senior team plays neighbours Cremartin in round 5 of the Mc Elvaney Waste and Recycling Intermediate Football Championship on Sunday the 11th of September at 2pm in Cremartin. 

Blotto results for the week beginning the 5th of September.  Numbers drawn were 5,1,7,4,6,3,2.
