Castleblayney Hurling Club Notes 12th Sept 2022

50/50 Draw takes place on the last Friday of Sept. To be in with a chance of winning the September pot, contact any committee member or simply buy your entry online on our Clubforce page at the following link: https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp?LL_ID=2767&intMF_ID=7833#Anchor.

Your support is very much appreciated.

Last Man Standing we’re down to the final 10 remaining entrants. Good luck to those still in the hunt and thanks to all who supported.

Training:

U7/U9’s training this week as usual on Wednesday 6-7pm.

Games:

U7’s/U9’s will finish their season on Sunday 25th September as we have been invited to the Killeavy (Armagh) U7 & U9 Invitational Blitz from 10 – 12.

U-11’s finished up the season by attending the Derrynoose blitz last Sunday 11th Sept. To round it off, the boys were treated to food in the Old Coach Inn, courtesy of parent, Eamonn Mallie. Míle Buiochas.

U-13’s are taking a well-deserved break after their cup final game against Carrickmacross on Sunday last. The team should be proud of their achievements during the year winning their Táin Óg final and reaching the league and championship final, losing out to a stronger Carrickmacross outfit. Many of the lads will be still U13 next year. Keep practicing lads and thanks to parents for their support all year.

U-15’s play Carrickmacross in the League semi final next Sunday in Carrickmacross. Come out and support the team.

CAO offers were received by many of our players and supporters last week. Hopefully you are all sorted but as we said last week, there are many paths to the top of the mountain.

Sympathy is extended to the Miller and Dignam families on their recent bereavements, ar Dheis De go raibh a n-anamacha.

Best Wishes the club extends good wishes to Barry Hughes and his family following the sale of Carna Transport to Dixon International, best of luck going forward.
