McElvaney Waste & Recycling Intermediate Football Championship QF:

Blackhill v Emyvale Saturday September 24th 5pm in Inniskeen

Our seniors played Toome in round 5 of the Intermediate Championship last Sunday. Played in horrendous conditions at 0-8 0-6 down with 3 minutes left on the clock, experience was finally brought to bear and a Niall Donnelly goal from a fine long early ball kept our season alive in what was a must win fixture for us. Dermor Daly landed the score of the day in injury time from a hand pass from Hugh Byrne that defied the laws of Physics and it was mission accomplished. We wish referee Jason McAndrew who was injured in the first half a full recovery.  Congratulations to Toome on the excellent work being done developing St. Victor’s Park.
