Don’t forget to play your slotto online with the new Clubforce app https://bit.ly/3dF91dK on our facebook page to play again this week or

you can still enter at Mackles Silverstream, Hughes Costcutter and at the centre! Jackpot this week has climbed to a whopping €8,700!!! We thank everyone who continues to support our slotto draw which provides vital funds for the maintenance of our club.

Intermediate Championship: We wish our Senior men and management the best of luck on Sunday when their first Championship game kicks off. Tyholland are in Group 2 along with Toome, Monaghan Harps, Sean McDermotts and Blackhill who we travel to for a 5pm throw in on Sunday!

Reserves: History was made last week when our Senior Reserve Men won not only the League Cup but the McKeown Championship cup! It is the first time any senior team has done “the double” and we as a club couldn’t be prouder of this bunch of hard working men and the management team of Brendan Leddy, Darren Smith and Anthony Troy. First up was Clontibret and an epic game of ball was played with a level half time score of 0-6 a piece. It was close scores again throughout the second half until a Brian McArdle goal in the last few minutes that brought us ahead to win on a 1-10 to 1-08 scoreline! Next up was Castleblayney and with the league semi-final game fresh in our memories we knew this was not going to be one that we would easily win either. Dylan O’Reilly raised the green flag in the 16th minute and this was met with massive cheers from the well supported crowd but a goal and penalty goal later left the half time score at Tyholland 1-05 to Faughs 2-06. 8 minutes into the second half and Blayney were 7 points ahead but a run of quick scores from Shane Askin, Mark Mooney and Dylan Ballentine brought the difference down to 2. A blazing goal from Stephen Connolly in the dying minutes got us over the line and we won on a 2-11 to 2-10 scoreline. The Northern Standard has a comprehensive report of each game and they can also be found on Facebook. We were overwhelmed by the support from everyone in Tyholland at both games and the energy from the spectators undoubtedly added to the drive that the men had to win! Thank you all for a super week of football that we will always remember!

Minors: Our U17’s faced Cremartin in their league final on Monday night. The game was a high energy one and the lads played their best but just fell short on a 1-09 to 1-13 scoreline. They now focus on the championship coming up in a few weeks.
