Junior Championship

Our next match is at home to Killeevan on Sun 4th Sept at 5.00pm

Hard luck to our U-15’s who suffered defeat away to Tyholland last Thursday evening – next up is a home game against Aghabog this Thursday evening at 7.15pm

It was a brilliant win in the Div 2 Shield Final over Aughnamullen in Carrickmacross last Tuesday evening albeit tainted somewhat by the serious shoulder injury suffered by Eoin Keelan in the latter stages of the match. Thankfully Eoin is on the mend and we would like to thank everyone who assisted Eoin on the evening from spectators, to Carrick Emmetts stewards, Aughnamullen team mentors and not least the ambulance staff. The game itself was greatly affected by a strong wind blowing into the town end goals and although it felt like we were the dominant team in the 1st half we found scores hard to come by and only went in level at the break having conceded two soft goals. The aforementioned wind certainly played its part in the 2nd half and we pushed on outscoring Aughnamullen 7 points to a single goal in the second half and close out the match in emphatic style 1-13 to 3-03…..well done lads!!

In a quick turnaround the Div 2 Championship kicked off on Monday past and we accounted for Aghabog Emmetts on a scoreline of Killanny 3-17 Aghabog 5-06. We travel to Donaghmoyne on Monday 29th August next at 7.00pm

Killanny Ladies

Our Senior Ladies play Killeevan on Sunday 28th Aug

Well done to our U-14’s on their Div 2 Championship semi-final win over Inniskeen on Monday evening last. Despite the wet conditions the girls played really well and put in a great team performance to win out by 5-11 to 3-12 in the end.

Our U-12’s take on Latton in their Div 2 League clash in Killanny this Tuesday evening at 6.45pm.
