Tully Camp: Emyvale GAA Club were delighted to welcome the return of our Annual Tully GAA Camp last week. And yet again it was a huge success! Last week, through rain and shine, over 100 children from the local area took part in a fun-filled week of football. The smiles on the faces and the tired legs at the end of each day told their own story! It is heartening to see such a high participation rate not only among our youngest players but also those helping with the running of

the camp. Thank you to each of the coaches for their assistance, along with camp coordinators Ryan McAnespie and Johnny McCarron assisted by Sharon Mc Kenna who all played their part in making the camp such a huge success. Each of them gave of their time so willingly to teach and guide our youngest players. We hope all participants had an enjoyable week – a super way to round off the school summer holidays.

Well Done: to our U15 player Andrew Stewart who represented Ulster GAA U15 Academy team last week when they played a Dubin U15 select in a friendly in Armagh. Also, huge congratulations to Adam Treanor, Harry Hamill and Mathew Swift who were selected for Monaghan U14 Development team, who played a friendly last week V Fermanagh. This is a super achievement for all to play for your county. Keep up the good work

U8s & U10s: Our youngest players are still training and taking part in locally arranged Go Games as the season end is now approaching. Keep up the practicing girls!

U12s: Hard luck to our U12 girls in Round 7 of the Under 12 Division 1 Championship last Friday evening. They came up against a very strong Sean McDermotts team but they showed real team spirit and remained determined and committed right to the final whistle. Hard luck girls but keep up the great work. Final Score 6.07 to 3.02.

They will now play in their last Chamionship game tomorrow (Friday) evening, where they will meet Donaghmoyne in the rescheduled Round 6 of the U12 Championship. This is a home fixture with a 6.45pm throw in at St Oliver Plunkett

Park. Good luck to the team and management.

U14s: Training continues as usual. Please check your team Whatsapp for details.

U16s: Our Under 16s had a tough encounter on Monday evening against a very impressive Carrickmacross Ladies side in the Division 2 Championship Semi Final. With a half-time score of 1:07 to 0:06, our girls were carrying a four point deficit going into the second half. They dug deep but the Carrick side continued to punish them with some excellent fielding and scoring. Despite their best efforts and some really brave play, it just wasn’t to be. Wishing the Carrickmacross team and their management the very best of luck in the Championship Final. Full Time Score: Carrickmacross 3:13 Emyvale Ladies 2:08.

Minors: Our Minor team will be in Championship action on Wednesday 7th September at 6:45pm when they meet Emmet Og in this Division 1 decider. Best of luck to all involved.

Seniors: Our senior team enjoyed a well earned weekend off the field of play as they had a bye in last weekend’s fixtures. However, it will be back to the drawing board on Sunday 4th September at 11.30am as they welcome neighbours Scotstown to St Oliver Plunkett Park for Round 4 of the Senior Championship. We’d love to see as much support as possible out on Sunday to cheer on our senior team.
