Good luck to all our teams in the busy week ahead. Let’s get out and support all our Emyvale teams in numbers!

Intermediate Football Championship: This Saturday sees our flagship team kick start the championship campaign off with a tough game at home to Cremartin at 4pm. Please come out and support the lads.

U17’s: Training as usual this week. Our Div.3b team played their shield final v Truagh on a wet last Monday evening in Scotstown. Conditions were very poor but it didn’t deter the massive team effort from our lads who were missing some key players. It was a game where scores were hard to get and after a brave effort

our lads fell short on the night. However great credit must go to the team and management on a strong performance. The conditions thwarted 2 Emyvale goal chances which would have changed the outlook of the game significantly with Truaghs’s second goal coming with the last kick of the game to put an unfair gap on the scoreboard. The game finished Emyvale 1:06 – Truagh 2:13. Hard luck lads. Our Div. 2 team will play their Cup Semi Final v Latton on Monday evening at 7:30pm in Tully, all support welcome and good luck.

U15’s: the lads were unlucky in Shield final last week. Losing to a slightly stronger team on the day by 3 points. Well done to Inniskeen. Hard luck to Emyvale as the lads and management put in a huge effort since early Jan. However, with the championship to come and some players to return things look bright.

U13’s: championship due to start on 6th August at home to Eire Og at 11am. Training as usual each week. All support greatly appreciated.

U11’s: training Monday and Thursday from 6:45 to 8pm in Tully. Their Liam Stirrat competition is starting soon – so good luck guys

U9’s: Training, management will text with training days/times.

U7’s: training as usual every week – they had a super blitz away to Aghabog last Saturday. They had 2 x teams on the day and a great day was held by all.

Well done to all Emyvale teams who played over the last week, and also to our ladies on their One Good Club Award and to Brenda Mc Anespie on her celebration of the ‘97 Jubilee Winning All Ireland Monaghan team. Good luck to all our teams in their upcoming games and we hope our loyal support will come out in numbers to show their support over the next week.

Representatives from our club and Executive Committee travelled to Croke Park on Sunday last to celebrate our Jubilee Teams of 1997, and to receive our #onegoodclub Award. Siobhán O’Brien was pitch side to receive the One Good Club award. A very proud day for our club. It was also a memorable day for Emyvale and Monaghan legend Brenda Mc Anespie and her family, Brenda got to stand on the Croke Park pitch once again on All Ireland Final Day to celebrate those fantastic days with Monaghan LGFA and in particular the Monaghan ‘97 winning All Ireland Team.

Run To Remember Gary Askin: Last Friday evening saw the 5th annual Run to Remember Gary Askin. Another fantastic crowd experienced sun and some rain to come out and remember Gary and also show their support for the 2 great causes which funds will go towards; Cavan-Monaghan Palliative Care and The Holy Family School Cootehill.
