Doohamlet G.F.C Results:  Our senior team played Magheracloone in Round 3 of the Mc Elvaney Waste & Recycling Intermediate Championship on Saturday evening last in Magheracloone.  This was the first game on their new pitch and conditions for the game were ideal.  Magheracloone opened the scoring in the first minute with a point and a minute later a free kick from Oisin O Neill gets Doohamlet off the mark.  Both teams traded scores with three points from Oisin O Neill, one from Colin Walshe, and one from younger brother Jamie.  Thirty minutes into the game, the sides are level at six points each, but two points in succession from Magheracloone gives them the upper hand at halftime with a two-point lead. Half-time score Doohamlet 0-6 Magheracloone 0-8.

The second half opened up strong with a lot of good play from both sides and it was the fourteenth minute before a score was converted with Magheracloone placing one over the bar.  Colin Walshe levels the sides with a well-taken goal.  Paul Mc Ardle replaces Niall J Connolly.  Magheracloone edged a point ahead but a vital score from Hugh Mc Ginn leveled the sides once again.  Eoin Markey replaces Hugh Mc Ginn.  In the thirtieth minute, Colin Walshe scored a point from play putting Doohamlet ahead, this turned out to be the winning score and Doohamlet came away victors on the day.  The final score was Doohamlet 1-08  Magheracloone 0-10.  This was a vastly improved performance by the Doohamlet team.  All the players put in a great performance and came away winners on the day as a result.  Well done to all the players and management.  Team: James Casey, Ryan Ingram, Conor Marray, Jason Mc Elroy, Damien Ward, Gavin King, Darren Connolly, Jamie Walshe (0-1) Hugh Mc Ginn (0-1) Ciaran Markey, Barry Mc Ginn (capt) Colin Walshe (1-02) Niall J Connolly, Ciaran Mc Manus, Oisin O Neill (0-4).
