Seniors: It was a disappointing trip to Scotstown on Sunday afternoon as Donaghmoyne lost out to the hosts on a score line of 1-16 to 1-07 in their third round group game in the Senior Championship.

The first half saw a clinical Scotstown team register 10 points to Donaghmoynes 5 with the wood work denying the Fontenoys on a number of occasions. Donaghmoyne started the second half in determined fashion creating a number of goal chances with Nial Keenan continuing his scoring run with a well-placed finish to raise the green flag and reduce the deficit to 2 points. Unfortunately the Donaghmoyne momentum was short lived as the hosts scored a goal soon after to move 5 clear again. Donaghmoyne regrouped and continued to press forward and closed to within 3 points and could have been level but for a smart save from Beggan in the Scotstown goal. In the final 10 minutes Scotstown seized control of the game hitting 5 unanswered points to see off the Donaghmoyne Challenge. Hard Luck Lads.
