Castleblayney Faugh’s notes week beginning 08/08/2022

Seniors Men: Our seniors started their 2022 championship campaign with a home game in the round robin league against Inniskeen on Saturday evening past. The Faugh’s lads came up strong in the first half with a score for score performance against Inniskeen. Unfortunately, in the second half Inniskeen were the stronger side and won the game with a final score of 1:13 to 0:11.

Attention now turns to Sunday as we travel to take on Latton and both teams will be keen to get some points on the board.  Throw-in is 5.00pm Sunday evening.

Juveniles: U6 and u7 training continues in St Mary’s Park every Thursdsy from 6.00-7.00pm

Operation TransFaughsmation is Back!!! Classes will be Starting on the 12th of September with online registration opening soon. Please keep an eye on the Operation TransFaughsmation Facebook page for updates and further details.

Lotto: Lotto results Jackpot €2,400 wasn’t won, the numbers were 02, 09, 25 and 27. Next week’s jackpot is €2,500. The 4 lucky dips are John and Phyllis McKiernan, Majella Morgan, Roisin McQuillan, and Derek Murray.

 

Bingo: Bingo continues every Wednesday night at Our Lady’s Concert Hall, jackpot is €2200, winner takes all played at game 8 and double your money at game 10 and high low game played after game 8. Lots of chances to win lots of money.

 

Condolences: We extend our deepest sympathy to the club people who have suffered recent losses, including, the Brennan Family on the death of their mother Angela; to the Kernan Family on the death of Raymond; and to Brian and the Sherry family on the death of Phil. Walking track: The lights for the walking track have been officially switched on this week and will be lit from 5-9pm every day. This is open to anyone in the community who wishes to use the walking track amenity. Please note dogs are not permitted on the grounds.

New Walking Track: Our new walking track is currently under construction and we hope to have it fully operational for the launch of operation transfaughmation, this will bring the total distance of both tracks to approximately 1.2km, of which all will be completely illuminated at night.

Advertising: We now have availability around the field for adverts up for grabs. If you would like more information on how to advertise with us, please contact David. Spaces are filling up fast.

 

Volunteer: Our various committees are already busy working hard for next season. Anyone interested in helping out as a volunteer or as a coach please contact any committee member, we would love to have you on board.
