Aughnamullen Club Notes

 

Lotto: The lotto was held on Sunday night last. There was no winner. The numbers drawn were 1,2,6 & 12. This week’s jackpot rises to €12,600, which is our biggest ever jackpot. You can purchase tickets either by buying envelopes from one of our young sellers or by logging on to our online Smart Lotto page through the following link smartlotto.ie/aughnamullen-s.

Social Centre: Food is being served from chef Ollie in the Social Centre every Sunday from 4pm. The Social Centre caters for all functions ie parties, christenings, funerals and small weddings! The Aughnamullen Social Centre is now taking bookings for all functions. For any more information on bookings please contact Tina on 0873332213.

 

Seniors: Our senior team host Scotstown this Saturday afternoon at 3pm in the Senior Championship. Come out and show your support for the lads in this crucial game and make it an occasion to remember. Best of luck to the team and management.

 

Juveniles:

Under 17s: Our Under 17 team remain unbeaten in their Division 2 Championship group campaign, following an entertaining 6-07 to 4-13 draw at home to Magheracloone on Monday evening. This result leaves them on 3 points with one game remaining, which is away to Latton on Sunday the 18th of September at 12pm.

 

Under 15s: Our Under 15 Division 1 team were narrowly beaten by Scotstown on Saturday afternoon last on a scoreline 2-12 to 4-04. Their final fixture of the group against Clontibret, which was fixed for tomorrow evening, Thursday, is off as Clontibret have conceded the game. Our Division 5A team had a brilliant win away to Scotstown on a scoreline of 9-14 to 7-09. Their next game is at home to Magheracloone this Friday evening at 7pm. Our Division 5B team took on Corduff yesterday evening, Wednesday. Result in next week’s notes. Their next game is away to Truagh on Sunday the 11th of September at 12pm. Best of luck to all teams and management.

 

Under 13s: Our Under 13 A team are at home to Donaghmoyne this Saturday at 11am in the third round of the Division 1 Championship. Our Division 6 team are at home to Magheracloone this Saturday at 12.30pm in the Division 6 Championship. Best of luck to both teams. All support welcome.

 

Under 11s: Our Under 11s play a challenge match in Aughnamullen at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening against Baileboro.

U11s are away in Donaghmoyne on Saturday morning at the Conor McSkeane tournament, can everyone be there at 9.30pm.

 

U9s: U9s boys training Wednesday evening on the Astro at 6.15pm. Thanks to Donaghmoyne for inviting us to play in the Conor McSkeane tournament this Saturday morning at 10am.

 

U7s: U7s boys training Saturday morning on the Astro at 9.30pm.

 

Upcoming events in the Social Centre:

 

Aughnamullen Day At The Races: Come to the Fairyhouse Racecourse on the 8th of October for a day at the races, departing from and returning to the Aughnamullen Social Centre, where there will be a buffet and live music upon return. A great day and evening’s craic is guaranteed! If interested, names can be left behind the bar counter or you can contact Tina on 0873332213 or Daniel on 0879161964.

 

Sympathy: Sincere sympathy to Geraldine and Jack Loughlin and the extended Dignam family, Castleblayney, on the passing of Brigid Dignam. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Sympathy is also extended to Conlon family and Killeevan football club on the passing of Dion Conlon. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Congratulations: Congratulations is extended to Maggie Sheridan and Cillian Coleman on the birth of a baby boy recently.

 

Birthday Wishes: Birthday wishes are extended to former senior footballer Damian Duffy who recently turned 30.

Ladies: Seniors were beaten by St Brigids on Sunday, their next game is away to Inniskeen on Saturday at 6:45pm.

Minors play away to Scotstown in the first round of the championship Wednesday 7th at 6:45pm.

U16As stormed their way to the division 1 championship shield final on Monday night with a fantastic win over Truagh.

U16Bs also put on a strong performance to earn their place in the division 2 championship final. More information on the finals next week. Congrats to the teams and management, a fantastic achievement.

Our u14s play in the division 1 final on Sunday 4th in Blackhill against Killanny at 2:30pm. Please come out and support the girls.

U12A team lost last game to Brigid ONeills. They’re Playing Aghabog in Aughnamullen on Friday at 6:45pm

U12B team Playing Clones Wednesday in Clones at 6:45pm.
