Donal McLoughlin RIP: It was with great sadness that we learned of the recent passing of the late Donal Mcloughlin Dun Laoire Dublin. Donal was a mainstay of the great Donaghmoyne team of the 1950s and early 60s where he was equally at home in the full back line or the middle of the park. Donal won a number of Owen Ward Cups during a golden period for Donaghmoyne but the Senior Championship was to evade this great team with the Donal being on the losing side in two Senior Finals. Donal also represented Monaghan on a number of occasions in the 1950s.
