Seniors: Donaghmoyne were unable to repeat the heroics of last week’s encounter with Scotstown in the League quarter final on Sunday. Played in blistering heat the Fontenoys were trying to pull off an unlikely double over the county Champions, but found Scotstown in a more clinical mood on this occasion despite the best efforts of a well drilled Donaghmoyne defence. The opening exchanges were cagey with the visitors leading 0-2 to 0-4 at the first water break. The first half continued to see both defences on top but Scotstown were edging further ahead leading 0-4 to 0-9 at half time. The second half followed a similar pattern with Donaghmoyne working hard but lacking a final ball when on the attack while Scotstown did enough to keep the home side from overhauling their lead. Final Score 0-7 to 0-13. The next game for the seniors will be the first Championship fixture in 3 weeks time.

U15s: The Div 1 team had a great win on Thursday against Scotstown in a very close encounter scoring 5-12 to 4-10 in round 3 of the Shield. The U15 B team put in an excellent performance to beat Scotstown on Friday evening 3-13 to 1-07

U17s: The 17s were beaten at home by Monaghan Harps on Wednesday 4-3 to 4-18. Their next game is an away trip to Carrickmacross on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

U19s: The U19s were knocked out in the Division 1 semi-final on Tuesday last by Magheracloone who now will face Cremartin in the final this Tuesday July 19th in Donaghmoyne at 8.15pm

Wedding Bells: Congratulations and best wishes to Seamus Markey and Theresa Cumiskey who were married on Saturday. May you have a long and happy life together.
