It was a week of mixed fortunes on the field of play for our senior teams. The “El Classico” lived up to its billing with an exciting and high scoring encounter in Paric Mhuire with the home side coming out on top by 2-16 to 2-11. Well done to both teams on a sporting and entertaining game with some quality scores been taken. The Reserves were in action on Sunday when they were away to Latton with the home side registering a 4 point win.
After a relatively quiet couple of days for the underage teams, the action returns tonight (Thursday) with our U15’s welcoming Aghabog to Paric Mhuire at 7:30. The U11’s face the same opposition on Saturday at 12 noon in the Spring League final at the Entekra Monghan GAA Centre of Excellence at Cloghan. The U13’s have reached the Division 4 Shield final where they will face Doohamlet. A date/time and venue will be confirmed for that shortly. As always the U7 and U9 panels are very busy attending the county blitz competitions.
We take this opportunity to say Thank You to Emerald Isle Water Coolers (Ashley Morris) for the sponsorship of a set of balls for our underage teams from U7-U15.. The new footballs carry the sponsor name, club name and respect/motivational message with thanks to Respect Sports/Eamon Hughes. We also say Thank You to Gerry and Andrea Coyle of Coyle’s Service Station for their sponsorship of our new digital scoreboard.
