Intermediate League: All roads lead to Tully for a 7pm throw in v Blackhill on Saturday evening in rd. 8 of the Intermediate Football League. This is the penultimate game of the league section with the final league game at home v Sean’s on Friday 8th July. We enter this stage of the campaign in good form following a good win over Toome and a strong performance in earning a draw away to Magheracloone on Wed. 22nd June. A game we pulled from behind to take the lead and hold a 4 point gap going into the final few minutes, but Magheracloone showed why they continually prove themselves in senior level by scoring a late goal to go a point behind. At times you need the rub of the green and on the restart, Karl Gallagher showing one of his magnificent high catches, was harshly penalised in what could have easily been a free to Emyvale. However, Magheracloone took their chance and the game ended in a draw on a score line of Magheracloone 1:12-2:9 Emyvale. None the less a game we can take great confidence from with some excellent performances throughout the pitch. Going into the last two games it would be great to see as many people as possible out in Tully to support the team and management.
