Seniors: Donaghmoyne were made to pay for a below par first half performance by a clinical Clontibret side on Friday evening. The opening exchanges were close but two Clontibret goals midway through the first half left the Fontenoys trailing by 8 points and facing an uphill task. The Donaghmoyne forward line was finding scores hard to come by and some last ditch defending and a good save from Shane Garland was required to stop the concession of more first half goals. Three Davy Garland points just before the break left Donaghmoyne trailing 2-3 to 0-4 at half time. The second half started with the sides trading points with Donaghmoyne cutting the deficit to 4 thanks to scores from Davy Garland and Ronan McDonald. Clontibret responded with two points to move six ahead before the first of 3 Stephen Finnegan points kept Donaghmoyne in touch. A break away Clontibret move 12 minutes into the second half ended with a third goal which effectively closed out the game leaving the Fontenoys trailing by 8 points. The final third of the game saw both teams again trading points with Clontibret doing enough to prevent a Donaghmoyne revival. Final Score 3-11 to 0-13. Next game is Tuesday 21st at home at 8.00pm v Truagh.

Reserve Football: Donaghmoyne produced a remarkable battling display on Tuesday last to clinch a vital home win against table toppers Latton in a highly entertaining game. Trailing for almost all of the game a young Donaghmoyne side showed great character and fitness to claim a 3-17 to 2-17 win. Well done to both sides for producing a truly end to end game with some top class scores from both teams.

U13s: The Div 1 side lost away to Magheracloone last Monday 2-12 to 1-10. The Div 5 side had a busy week with wins over Inniskeen 1-2 to 3-11 and Monaghan Harps 2-8 to 1-3. The Div 1 team have a home tie with Truagh on Tuesday at 6.45.

U17s: The B side are back in action this Friday evening at home against Castleblayney at 7.30pm.
