Castleblayney Hurling Club Notes 20th June 2022

 

 

50/50 Draw for this month takes place on Friday 1st July in Molly’s Bar from 9pm. U-13’s are Tain Óg champions congratulations to our U-13’s who won their Tain Óg final on Saturday last, beating a strong Derrynoose team in the semi-final and then going on to beat an equally strong Wolfe Tones from Longford in the final. The lads represented the club proudly and were led on the day by team captain, Owen Omoruyi. Other players included Christian Traynor, Emmet Carragher, Tomas Meegan, Daithí McCarthy, Bobby Miller, Harry Sibley, Ultan Martin, Dylan O’Sullivan, Dylan Campbell, Nikodem Jancewicz, Jack Davidson, Liam Bolger, Lee Smithers, Joshua Cox, Paudi McEntee, Daniel Mason and Josh Dignam. Well done lads.

 

 

Training:

U7/U9’s training this week as usual and a Monaghan Go Games blitz next week hosted by Carrickmacross HC. Details to follow.

U-11’s training this Tuesday at the pitch in Concra 7 till 8pm, child to bring own hurl, helmet and water bottle.

U-13’s training this Wed 6.30 to 7.30pm at Concra pitch.

Féile Preparations all roads lead to Dunganny Meath GAA Centre on Saturday 25th as our U-15 boys represent Monaghan in the National Féile Competition. The boys play Western Gaels at 11am and then meet Middletown at 11.50am. We wish them the very best of luck on Sat and just as importantly, we hope you all enjoy the experience. Beir bua.

 

Games:

Seniors meet Naomh Moninne in Concra on Wed 22nd June at 7.30pm in the CuChulainn Cup.

U-15’s are away to Cuchulains on Wed 22nd at 7.30pm.

U-11’s play Carrickmacross in Concra at 11am Sunday 26th June.

 

Garda vetting: Castleblayney Hurling Club is committed to the welfare and protection of all our members. As part of this commitment the club requires all coaches, training assistants and volunteers who are associated with our underage teams to comply with the legal requirement to have Garda vetting. Summer Hurling Camp Update Thanks for returning registration forms for our summer Hurling Camp at St Mary’s Park, Castleblayney from July 11th to 13th, 10am – 12.30pm. Details will follow closer to the time. Please return outstanding forms to your coach at next training/match. If you are a parent of U7 – U13chldren still interested please contact your coach or PM David 086 2517407 for details.
