Castleblayney Faugh’s notes week beginning 13/06/2022

Seniors Men: Our senior men hosted Truagh on Friday past.  In a fairly even first half we went in a point down 1-05 to 1-06 with Ronan raising the green flag. In the second half Truagh came out the stronger and extended their lead which proved to be too much to reel back in.  Despite a decent performance Truagh took home the 2 points. We now travel to Inniskeen on Friday 17th June, throw-in 8.00pm

Seniors Ladies: Faughs Ladies hosted Donaghmoyne B in the Reserve League on Saturday evening. The Faughs ladies got off to a strong start and had two goals in the first quarter but the Donagahmoyne ladies reeled them back in and only 3 points separated the sides at half time. The game went end to end in the second half with the Faughs unable to shake off a very determined and skilful Donaghmoyne team. However the Faughs ladies managed to get a couple of points in the second half and had 4 points to spare at the final whistle in a game where they were grateful for the two early goals which ultimately helped them edge a very tough game in a score line of 2.12 to 1.11. Some great performances from both teams made it a great contest
