Castleblayney Hurling Club Notes 30th May 2022

 

 

50/50 Draw the May draw took place last Sun 29th May at our breakfast morning. Congratulations to Julie Ann Murphy who netted the princely sum of €910 for herself. A big thank you to those who continue to support our draw. The draw takes place the last Friday of each month.

Reserve Final: Congratulations to our Reserve team and mentors who beat Inniskeen in a very exciting game in the Mick Hannon DHL Final on Thursday evening last on a scoreline of Castleblayney 1-12, Inniskeen 0-14. Well done to Captain Eoin Leonard and his team

 

Training:

U7/U9’s no training this Wednesday, see information about the blitz below.

U-11’s training this Tuesday at the pitch in Concra 6.30 till 7.30pm Child to bring own hurl, helmet and water bottle.

U-13’s no training this Wed.

 

Games:

Seniors have their first game in the CuChulainn Cup Div 1, playing against Carrickmacross in Concra on Wed evening 1st June at 7.30pm.

Monaghan Go Games blitz: Our U-7’s and U-9’s have Go Games Blitz this Wed 1st June at 7pm in St Macartan’s College, hosted by Monaghan Harps.

U-11’s played their first game of the season against Inniskeen last Sun, great displays of skill all round. Well done.

U-13’s played their Táin Óg fixture against Craobh Rua on Mon night in Camlough.

U-15’s Next home game against Keady in the Armagh League is on Wed 1st June at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Castleblayney.

 

Garda vetting: Castleblayney Hurling Club is committed to the welfare and protection of all our members. As part of this commitment the club requires all coaches, training assistants and volunteers who are associated with our underage teams to comply with the legal requirement to have Garda vetting. First Aid Training for coaches on 20th June 7.00 to 10.00pm in the Ash Room.

 

Summer Camp registration forms to be returned to your coach at training no later than Wed 8th June.

 

Tickets for matches just a reminder that all upcoming Ulster Minor Championship, Ulster Senior Championship and Lory Meagher Championship games are all ticket. There will be no cash sales at the venues. Please ensure that you buy your ticket online before arriving at the venue.
