Congrats to Faolan and Lochlan Duffy who won the draw this week, €440 or 48,719 Cape Verdean Escudo’s.
Seniors:
Despite a vastly improved performance, the Senior team narrowly lost to Latton by a point last Saturday. Latton opened the scoring but a good point by Shane McGuinness brought us level and Aaron Toner put us in front. Latton drew level before a mark from Shane edged us in front again. Latton restored parity and then Tommy Kerr’s first point was cancelled out after 15 mins for 0-4 each. Latton then hit a purple patch and scored 5 in a row to lead with the first half coming to a close but points from Thomas Keenan, Paddy O’Neill and Shane’s 3rd point closed the gap to 2, 0-7 v 0-9.
The second half was keenly contested with no score for the first 11 minutes before Colm Lennon left the minimum between the sides.  Tommy Kerr then levelled the sides with 15 to go.
Latton nudged in front again by 2 only for Tommy to leave a point in it. Both sides traded late points in the dying minutes, Tones for Ballybay but we couldn’t get the equalising score that the performance probably deserved.
Shout out to Ciaran Donaghy for his first clean sheet. #keepersunion
