Seniors: On Saturday evening last our seniors played their second game of the Senior League away to Carrick and were beaten on a scoreline of 3-18 to 1-08. Similar to the first game against Truagh, a very strong Carrick team started quickly, scoring a goal and eight points without reply in the opening twenty minutes. Aughnamullen got a much needed goal to open our account after Kevin Sheridan finished a well a worked moved into the back of the net. However, Carrick replied in a ruthless fashion giving themselves an insurmountable lead at half time. To the lads credit, Aughnamullen reeled off four points in succession at the start of the second half with frees from Tiernan Duffy and a point from Mark McArdle, but this was to be as close as we would come, with Carrick showing their experience at senior level in the pace at which they finished the game out. Our next game is at home to Inniskeen on Friday the 20th of May at 8pm. Best of luck to the team and management. All support welcome.
