Lotto: The lotto was held on Sunday night last. There was no winner. The numbers drawn were 1,9,11 & 12. Next week’s jackpot rises to €10,900. You can purchase tickets either by buying envelopes from one of our young sellers or by logging on to our online Smart Lotto page through the link

Social Centre: Food is being served from chef Ollie in the Social Centre every Sunday from 4pm. The Social Centre caters for all functions ie parties, christenings, funerals, communions and confirmations! The Aughnamullen Social Centre is now taking bookings for communions and confirmations. Seniors: Our senior team’s second game of the senior league is away to Carrick this Saturday the 7th of May at 7pm. Best of luck to the team and management. All support welcome.


Reserves: Our reserves next play at home to Inniskeen in the league this Wednesday the 4th of May at 7.45pm. Best of luck to the team and management.


Under 19s: Our under 19s had a great win at home to Inniskeen on Sunday afternoon last on a scoreline of 6-09 to 1-11. This was a game where the boys were always comfortable and with the scoring of six goals, they ran out comprehensive winners. The Under 19 competition will take a break for the leaving cert exams, with Aughnamullen next out away to Killanny on Tuesday the 12th of July of 8pm.



Under 17s: With the success of the county minor team in reaching the next round of the Ulster Championship, another round of Spring League action has been announced for the under 17s, with Aughnamullen playing away to Clontibret on Tuesday the 10th of May at 7.30pm. Best of luck to the team and management.

Under 15s: Our under 15 teams played a round of games in the past week. Our division 2 team played at home to Truagh on Thursday evening last and had a great win on a scoreline of 4-16 to 5-5. Our B team had a great win at home to a strong Scotstown team on Monday last, winning on a scoreline of 3-15 to 1-15. Our division 2 team next play at home to Tyholland this Thursday at 7.30pm. Our B team play away to Magheracloone this Friday at 7.30pm. Our C team play at home to Truagh this Wednesday the 4th of May at 7.30pm. Best of luck to all teams and management.


Under 13s: The league structures for the year have been released, with our A team playing in division 2 and our B team playing in division 5. Round one of the league will begin on Saturday the 14th of May. Details of fixtures and dates will be released soon.

Under 11s: Our Under 11s teams are back training in great numbers, all boys are encouraged to keep coming out every week.

Under 9s: Training continues every Wednesday evening at 6.15pm on the astro pitch.

Under 7s: Training every Saturday morning at 9.30 for boys born 2015-2016 new players welcome . Go games blitzes start this Saturday the 7th of May in Corduff.

Under 6s: Our Under 6s teams are training in great numbers every Saturday morning. New players are always welcome to come along.


County teams: Well done to Micheál Bannigan and the county team who progressed to the Ulster Championship Semi Final after beating Down in Clones on Saturday last. They play Derry in the Semi Final on Sunday the 15th of May. Best wishes are extended to Micheál and the team.

Best wishes is also extended to Bobby McCaul and the Monaghan Under 17 team who play away to Down in the second round of Ulster Championship qualifiers this Saturday at 2pm, following a great win against Armagh on Friday evening last.


Breakfast morning: Aughnamullen GFC are hosting a breakfast morning on Sunday the 15th of May before Monaghan’s Ulster Championship Semi Final against Derry in the Athletic Grounds Armagh. The Sam Maguire cup will be in attendance on the morning, bring the whole family along and get pictures with Sam while enjoying breakfast before the big game!


Respect for Club Property and Members: The club recently launched a campaign to highlight the importance of mutual respect among members and also respect for club property from members. The signs say Give Respect, Get Respect Before you Expect. There has been a noticeable change for the better but there is still room for improvement. Once again we ask that players of all age groups both male and female, put their drink bottles in the bins provided after each training session or match. Supporters using the shop are asked to place litter in the nearest bin. Thank for your co- operation


Walking Track: Please note that there are no dogs allowed on the walking track or club property at any time. This rule is in the interest of health and safety and there can be no exceptions


SAVE THE DATE: Our annual Summer Camp will run from Tuesday the 2nd of August until Friday the 5th. More information to follow in the coming weeks.

Ladies: Seniors play away to Donaghmoyne B in the intermediate league on Sunday at 11am.

Minors play Tyholland on Thursday check social media for results. Their next game is against Emmet Og Thursday 19th at 7pm in Aughnamullen.

U16As had a great win over Latton on Monday they girls came away with a 3:15- 2:06 win. They now play at home against Scotstown Monday 23rd May at 7pm.

U16Bs also had a fantastic win on Tuesday night over Seans. Wishing a speedy recovery to Aoibheann and Kayla who suffered injuries during the game.

U14s play Donaghmoyne on Monday 9th at 7pm in Aughnamullen.

U12s drew with Latton on Wednesday. They play away to Carrick on Wednesday 11th May at 7pm.


The countdown is on to our Clash of the Clanns fundraiser on May 21st at 4pm. We still have some spots available if you think your family has what it takes. Please contact 0872113887 if you want to enter a team.

Each team must consist of family members only (siblings, parents, cousins, aunts/uncles, in-laws etc) and the catch is that each team must have at least 2 non active GAA members and 2 female players.

The rules of the blitz are as follows

• All participants must be Over 16

• Kick-off is at 4pm sharp and all should be wrapped up for 7pm

• 24 teams

• 7 aside with 3 subs

• Winners of each group are into the semi final, with the 2 winning teams battling it out in the final for the coveted title of Clash of the Clanns Champions and taking home the Brendan Finnegan cup.


• It will cost each team €100 to enter and additional sponsorship cards will be given out. Teams can look for a sole sponsor or fill the sponsor card. In addition to the entry fee of €100 we are seeking a Minimum €100 sponsorship per team.
