Latton GAA Club Club Notes – Week Beginning 21st March 2022



Lotto draw was held online on Monday 4th April 2022.

The numbers drawn were 7,10,19,24 . There was no Jackpot winner . Our 3 Lucky dip winners were Colin Connolly, Mary Traynor and Gabriel McQuillan.

Next week jackpot now stands at €6,700. Congratulations to Patrick Conlan on winning our Mothers Day Hamper giveaway. Watch out for our Easter Bonus Prize. We thank our weekly players for their support and encourage all to have a go – If your not in you cant win !!!!!!!

Division 1A Round 2

Monaghan Harps v Latton O’Rahilly GAA Club

The home side were first off the mark with 2 quick points in the fist 4 minutes . Latton regrouped and Kevin Fitzpatrick put over a point from play in the 7th Minute with a Christian Hughes free equalizing in the 8th. Monaghan Harps once again hit 2 points with the home side up 2 in the 13th minute. Christian Hughes hit over a 2nd free on the 14th minute followed up by a Shane Coyle goal. Ryan Duffy hit a point from play quickly followed by a Christian Hughes point this time from play. Thomas Connolly hit over in the 20th minute . Monaghan Harps got one back to leave 4 points between the sides . A Conor Mc Cabe converted penalty in the 26th minute was followed up by a further point to leave the visitors 6 points up. A late goal from Monaghan Harps as the half ended left a goal between the sides .. Latton 2-06 – Monaghan Harps 1-06.

Monaghan Harps were once again first off the marks in the 2nd half with 2 points to leave the minimum between the sides . A point from play from Michael Coyle followed up by a Ryan Duffy point regained the 3 point lead for the visitors. Further points from Kevin Fitzpatrick and Christian Hughes left Latton up 5 Points in the 19th minute of the 2nd half. Ryan Duffy hit over from play followed up by a Christian Hughes free left the score Latton 2-12 – Monaghan Harps 1-09 as the game entered the last 10 minutes . A point from play from Jude McEntee left the visitors ahead by 8 points. A goal from the home side as the game entered injury time brought it back to 5 Points. Two points from play from Ryan Duffy and James McElroy left the final score Latton 3-14 – Monaghan Harps 2-08.

Reserve Division 3 Round 2

Latton v Blackhill

Latton played there second game in the Reserve Div 3 League in perfect conditions at home this afternoon. Latton were first off the mark with an Aaron Duffy point in the 1st minute . Blackhill hit over 2 points to gain the lead in the 7th minute.Michael Weldon hit over a point in the 9 th minute to level the game. A good spell seen the home side go 3 up with points from Matthew Lennon and 2 from Gavin West. Blackill finished the 1st half strong with 2 points to leave the minimum between the sides at the interval. The 2nd half seen Latton score first with a Michael Coyle free. The visitors hit over a point in the 6th minute of the 2nd half followed by a Gavin West point in the 12th minute . Two points from the visitors eeen them level the game in the 14th minute of the 2nd half . The visitors went ahead as the game entered the final quarter. A Jack Dempsey point levelled the game in the 26th minute and a Gavin West free put the home team ahead 0-09 – 0-08 in the 28th minute . The visitors hit over the equalizer as the game entered injury time . The final whistle seen the game end in a draw . Well done Lads on a battling performance and 1st points on the board for our 3rd team . Next game is away next Wednesday 13th against Crrickmacross at 7.15pm.




Our U15’s are at home this evening 7th April at 7.00 against Aughnamullen.



Well done to our U19’s on a home win v Magheracloone last Sunday Morning.



We play at home on Sunday evening at 4.30pm.
